In order to upgrade the quality level of its services and develop its activities, RCII has applied for approvals of conformity with the following management standards through the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran and also international organizations.
ISO/IEC 17025: This standard covers all requirements which the test & calibration laboratories have to meet and if succeeded they will be recognized as laboratories with management systems, required technical competence and capable of providing valid technical results.
ISO/IEC 17020: This standard covers all requirements which the inspection organizations have to meet and through establishment of inspection management systems and handling organized and compiled unique documents become eligible to offer inspection services.
GUIDE 65: This standard describes general requirements which a notified body organization has to meet for its products certificate issuance system.
Product inthis guide refers to services and processes as well.
Products certificate issuance system managed by an approval body may consist of one or many of the following:
1.Type testing.
2.Test or inspection of the samples picked up either by market surveillance or from the provider’s stockroom, or a combination of the two.
3.Test or inspection of any product or a newly supplied product.
4.Batch testing or batch inspection.
5.Plan assessment.
This supervision may go along with supervision of production or assessment and supervision over quality system of the providers, or a combination of the two.
ISO9001/2001: Offers a framework for a systematic approach towards management of organization routines so that it can provide a product in such a comprehensive way that meets the customers’ expectations.
